Jesse didn't understand why the secretary was so discriminatory; his boss got to take a two-hour break, but Jesse wasn't allowed to get a bottle of water without her breathing down his neck?
If she wasn't in complete view of all the other personnel, Jesse would have murdered her and done away with her corpse. He knew Caine wouldn't have minded; he was always complaining about her anyway. It was like her job was to make them miserable or something.
Jesse sighed, though his gleeful grin remained afixed firmly onto his face; a failed experiment lay on the table, writhing before him in silent agony. He had already mutilated one arm, draining all the blood onto the metallic table. The--elf, he believed, but it was so hard to tell-- couldn't make a sound; something about the new compound affecting its voice.
His report on the behavior of the body (Renians still liked to keep records about the failed ones) perched finished next to him; he was sure any minute now, someone would come barging into the lab wanting it. Jesse sighed again; he hated paperwork.

Sinn just kept staring in front of him, ignoring the slight glances from the few people in the hall. Apparently, they wanted him to pick up a lab report, since he really hadn't had anything important in the last few days. Usually, he'd feel a bit insulted to do such menial work, but hey, beggars can't be choosers. Finally, he reached entrance #72. Ominous, thick Tenzon walls loomed before him. To most people it was intimidating, but to Sinn it seemed excessive and ridiculous. Sighing oh so very softly, he knocked on the door.
((Hope it be ok if I join with such a lame ass post))

(( A post is a post, right?))
The knock on the door echoed around the room, much to Jesse's consternation. The lab was hardly ever quiet; if he and his boss weren't arguing, then they usually had music going (so Jax could 'get it on' with his "lovers"), or some failed experiment that hadn't died yet would be agonizing loudly.
"Open the goddamn door. We don't have a doorman, now do we?" Jesse called from inside. He hadn't exactly been raised with good manners. If the secretary had heard she, she would start scolding him incessantly; lucky for him, she was out on break.
The failed experiment-- what was the label again? #100018901?-- twitched, spasmed, and arched in silent torture atop the table, but Jesse paid it little heed. He did, however, jot down a quick note on the paperwork.

He heard the irate voice call through the door, and did as it said. He opened the door slowly and went inside. The first things he spotted were the pale, white haired Boy and the elf on the table. He raised an eyebrow slightly at the experiment, highly curious. But he said nothing about it and did not let his curiosity show in his face. He merely looked at the boy straight in the eye and said, "I was sent to pick up some files."

"Master Jesse is not a secretary. Master Jesse does not do paperwork. Why did Master Jesse have to do paperwork first of all, anyway?" Jesse muttered under his breath, picking up the ten-page report filled with detail after detail.
"The paperwork isn't ready yet." he stated, motioning towards the twitching body. "As you can see, the experiment has yet to...expire." The body convulsed as if on command. Jesses grin widened as some blood spurted out from the wound.

Sinn nodded slightly, and he walked closer to the experiment until he was looking down at it. The elf looked up in desperation, perhaps pleading for Sinn to end its suffering. But Sinn merely stared, he was just curious. He had an odd fascination with death, and one of the things he so dearly loved was to see the light extinguish from one's eyes.

"Just don't touch it, alright? The boss likes 'em untouched and...fresh." Jesse drawled blandly, leaning back in his chair like he owned the lab. He was an obvious exception to his boss' rule; as his assistant, Jesse was allowed free reign over the bodies, so long as he didn't mutilate them completely.
Picking up a scalpel, he stood next to the other boy, leaning over the semi-conscious trembling body, a gleeful smile on his face. With a precision brought on by long practice, he slit open the experiment's other arms; the blood there had solidified, and only a reddish powder slipped out.
"Well..." he mused, using his left hand to jot down some more notes, "That goes into the report."

Sinn watched as the white-haired boy slit open the elf's arm. "Amazing, what did you use in this compound?" He'd love to get his hands on this, such a fancy new killing toy would not go to waste under his care.
((I am in a writing funk right now, sorry! >.<))

"What fun would it be if Master Jesse told you?" Jesse grinned, proud of someone finally recognizing his brilliance. Obviously, the experiment had been human; Jesse could discern that now from the results of his new compound. If it had been elven, the blood would have merely turned black and gooey.
